The First of 3 Rope/Shibari classes

Course 1: An Introduction to the art of Shibari.

The first of a three-course series, this is an introduction to Shibari rope work. In this class, we will begin with a brief history of Shibari, or more properly - Kinbaku. We will then explore the different types of ropes available to use and how to safely tie your bunny.

The remainder of the class will be spent mirroring your instructor and her bunny as we explore some simple ties that you can quickly master. These ties will teach you some key principles of Shibari you will need to master for our intermediate (class 2) and advanced (class 3) courses. The best part - you can use these ties immediately after the class to have fun in private.

Afterwards, your instructor will be available for a 30-minute Q & A session.

Please note that you will need to purchase a separate ticket for each course. Tying partners are encouraged but not necessary – solo attendees will be matched with a tying partner so that all can participate.

How to talk about your identity as an edge player

Kink, BDSM, and Leather communities are outsider communities. Everyone in those communities is doing sex that is outside of acceptable vanilla expectations and definitions. What about those who cross the line into doing sex that is outside of acceptable kink, BDSM, and Leather community expectations and definitions? What are the lines of what is acceptable in kink, BDSM, and Leather communities? For those of us who do cross that line, how do we describe ourselves to others? How do we describe ourselves to potential play partners so they can assess their interest and give informed consent? How do we talk about ourselves in ways that help us find and build community?

Brett and Deacon will share their working definition of edge play and walk you through a process to create your identity as an edge player, including how your play is (or isn’t) outside of the norm of the BDSM, kink, and leather communities, what edges you break or push, how you want to break or push them, and how your play is potentially dangerous and damaging.

This conversation assumes previous BDSM experience and comfort with edgier play. It is appropriate for all genders and all orientations. This conversation is appropriate for tops and bottoms and will consider both top and bottom perspectives.

Brett and Deacon have been in some form of power relationship with each other for over 7 years. They share an intense interest in nuanced and complex conversations about kink, between themselves and with groups. They present on topics they wish people had been teaching when they came into the community and on topics they have something to say they don’t hear others saying.

Brett likes to find the edge of most anything that interests him. He is a zealot and has yet to find meaningful fulfillment in moderation. He has been doing public education for over 30 years and leading workshops in the BDSM community for over 15. His community volunteerism is usually behind the scenes.

Deacon is a self-proclaimed Freak. It believes in sex as more than the mashing of genitals, love as more than the proclamation of feeling, and consent as more than the maintenance of comfort. It has been leading workshops in the BDSM community for over 10 years.

There is an opportunity after the class for play but only for the people that have attended the class.

February event for artists and would-be artists.

Dr. Sketchy's Anti-art School is coming to Everett!!

Dr Sketchy's is a drawing club, where talents such as models, creative artists, and burlesque all coincide.

We have an event planned on Wednesday Feb 25th from 4pm-7pm featuring the singer and performer Goddess Kring! (We are in negotiations for March and April, with an unnamed model at this time.)

This class/demonstration is not for the squeamish. We will be teaching and demonstrating many forms of blood play. From artistic, sadistic to spiritual.
This fun with blood concept, going to cover the following.
1> Safety first. = Self and others protection and handling
2> Needles. = Artistic, sadistic, zippers and coreset's
3> Hooks and staples= Artistic, sadistic and spiritual.
4> Implements= Canes, paddles, thorns and other assorted fun things.
5> Barbwire= Artistic Apparel, restraint and impact.
6>Cutting= Artistic designs, scarification, scapples, knives and razor blades.
7> Bloodletting= Artistic and spiritual finger painting to blood boarding.
We will be covering all this and more. We will be covering the dark side of kink. But also, a very deep bonding side as well.
For all that attend this class, we will be giving a 20% discount for all blood implements and support material.
Please understand that this will be a longer than normal class. But we have a lot of material to cover. Also that pictures of the demonstrations will be taken.
